Romantic Cartographies: Lived and Imagined Space in English and German Romantic Texts, 1790–1840.
Most texts are spatial implying a network of important places. This was especially typical of the Romantic era (1790–1840) that was characterised by the growing interest in historical and natural sites. This research project provides a new interpretation of English and German Romanticism by changing the focus from temporal to spatial. He analyses the spatiality of Romantic texts by reconstructing the various geographic maps they implied.
Prof. Dr. Ulrich Pfisterer hat einen Lehrstuhl für allgemeine Kunstgeschichte unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Kunst Italiens an der LMU München.
Er ist vom 16. November bis zum 9. Dezember 2015 als Fellow am FSP HKW mit einem Projekt zu „Episteme der Linien: die frühesten gedruckten Zeichenbücher, 1525-1625“.

Eva Struhal machte ihren Magister an der Universität Wien. Im Anschluss daran promovierte sie an der Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore mit einer Arbeit zum Thema: “La Semplice Imitazione del Naturale: Lorenzo Lippi’s Poetics of Naturalism in Seventeenth-Century Florence.”
Sie war von 2006-2008 Research Associate an der National Gallery am Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts in Washington und danach Visiting Professor am Departement of Art and Art History der University of Texas in Austin. Seit 2010 ist sie Assistant Professor for Art History, Université Laval, Département des sciences historiques.
Prof. Dr. Struhal hatte verschiedene Fellowships inne, etwa an der Österreichischen Akademie der
Wissenschaften (1999), dem Charles Singleton Center in Florenz, der John Hopkins University in Baltimore, der Université Laval und der Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolffenbüttel.
